About Dr.RA

I began my career as a CNA in the year 2000, working directly with patients and learning early what it means to care for people when they are most vulnerable. I later moved into healthcare management and became an administrator, responsible for overseeing care and supporting clinical teams. After working in leadership, I chose to become a nurse to deepen my clinical understanding and stay connected to direct patient care.

I spent many years in hospice and home health, supporting patients, families, and caregivers through some of the most demanding moments in healthcare. Over time, I saw how much caregivers carry, and how little support they receive in maintaining their own stability.

Part of which led me to continue my education and earn my PhD. Understanding more deeply how human beings process stress, perception, and experience, and how caregivers can remain stable and clear while working in demanding environments has made a difference in my career.

Everything I teach comes from experience. I have worked as a CNA, healthcare manager, administrator, and nurse. I understand healthcare from every level.

Dr. RA is derived from the initials of my first and last name Rebecca Afriyie. It represents both my professional background and the work I have dedicated my life to: Healing, supporting caregivers and healthcare professionals.

DRRA.io was created to support others.

About our Training

Our training and consultation are designed to support the whole person, body, mind, spirit, and environment. We provide integrative consultation and education for healthcare professionals, caregivers, and individuals navigating daily care, complex care, and vulnerable life transitions.

We recognize that care is not only physical. To care well requires stability, clarity, and awareness. Our work addresses nervous system regulation, emotional and mental balance, spiritual awareness, and the role environment plays in rest and recovery. When caregivers are internally stable and grounded, their presence strengthens, their energy is no longer depleted, and their work becomes sustainable.

We do not offer quick fixes. We begin with awareness, grounding, and restoring a sense of safety and orientation. From there, caregivers are able to think more clearly, recognize what is needed, and respond appropriately, whether that means acting, pausing, or referring to additional support.

Those who engage in this work often experience greater steadiness in their daily responsibilities, clearer decision making, healthier boundaries, and renewed capacity to provide care with compassion, clarity, and professionalism.
